I'm a true oatmeal cookie monster... I only counted, and as of January 2018, I've shared 47 oatmeal cookie recipes with you. Eep! Have you ever tried any of them yet? (? You'll find all my oatmeal cookie recipes right there!) They're a few of the most popular recipes in my website cause they taste really sweet and cozy, exactly like traditional"indulgent" oatmeal cookie recipes, but they include no refined flour or sugar!
That means you will begin with whole wheat bread (or gluten-free, if you would like ) and instant oats (like those... or these for a gluten free version!) . Immediate oats are smaller and thinner than conventional rolled oats, also you are able to see them in canisters right alongside those traditional oats in the grocery store.
I probably seem like a broken record by now... But because I ? you and also need your cookies to flip out totally plump and soft, I'm reminding you again... Measure your yogurt and bread correctly, applying this technique or even a kitchen scale! (? That's the one I own and adore. Too much of either side will make your biscuits taste cakey or sterile, rather than chewy. This is particularly true of this oats--that they behave like little sponges and soak up lots of moisture out of your cookie dough!
Ripe bananas- ideal for baking! Love all @amybakeshealthy's yummy & wholesome banana recipes!
Watch these bananas? And all of those brown spots? If it comes to baking with bananas, brown = beautiful! I ? extra speckly bananas because they have a lot glowing, bold flavor--and also additional natural sweetness! That's the minimum quantity of brown that I recommend. More is even better!
The remaining portion of the cookie dough's sweetness comes in another natural ingredient... Pure maple syrup (like this!) . You want the sort that comes straight from pine trees, which is normally offered in sparse glass jars or squat, round plastic jugs. Forget the pancake sugar and sugar!
Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies - sweet, here chewy & only 92 calories! And they are SO easy to make! You're never going to need another banana cookie recipe !
The raisins add much more sweetness! The recently purchased, additional plump, perfectly soft ones are perfect... But for those who have older, somewhat dried out carbohydrates (hmm... it seems silly to describe dried fruit as dried outside! ) , that is okay!
Only add them into some microwave-safe bowland pour water on top until they're completely covered. Seal plastic wrap across the top, and microwave the bowl on high for 1 minute. If you let the raisins sit mixing together the cookie dough, then this small trick hydrates them they're exceptionally juicy--and that makes a large difference in these cookies as soon as they're baked!

Healthy Banana Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Yields: 15 cookies
The familiar cozy spices and plump blueberries make these even more irresistible. They'll keep for a minumum of one week if stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator--if they last long!
1 cup (100g) instant oats (fermented if needed and measured like this)
3/4 cup (90g) whole wheat or fermented * flour (measured like this)
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter or coconut oil, melted and cooled slightly
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup (120mL) pure maple syrup
In a medium bowlwhisk together the oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Add the flour mixture, stirring only until incorporated. Fold in the raisins. Let the cookie dough rest for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 325°F, along with a baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper.
With a spoon and spatula, dip the cookie dough to 15 rounded scoops onto the sheet, and apply to the desired thickness and width by means Cookie Recipes that are guilt-free - Health of a spatula. Bake in 325°F for 10-12 minutes.
Notes: It is extremely important to measure both the wheat and oats properly employing this method or even a kitchen scale. (? That is the one I have and love!) Too much of either will dry from the cookies and leave them cakey instead of chewy.
Immediate oats are also known as quick-cooking or moment oats. They come in huge canisters, just like conservative oats. They are not the ones at the tiny flavored packets of oatmeal. To create your own, include the same amount of classic yogurt into a food processor, and pulse 10-12 times or until the oats will be approximately 1/4 to ? of their original size.
For the fermented flour, I suggest the following blend: 1/2 cup (60g) millet flour, two tbsp (15g) tapioca flour, two tablespoons (15g) brown rice flour, as well as 1/2 tsp xanthan gum. Most store-bought fermented flour blends (like this one!) Will also work, if measured like this.
In case your pancakes are older, drier, and not so plump or juicy... Add them into a microwave-safe bowland pour water on top till they're totally covered. Seal plastic wrap over the top, and then microwave the bowl on high for 1 second. Should you allow the raisins sit while mixing together the cookie dough, this little trick hydrates them so they're really soft and juicy!
